Singapore’s first large scale zombie walk is taking place at Clarke Quay on 27 Oct 2012 8.29pm.
A worldwide phenomenon that started in 2001, zombie walks have been held in more than 50 cities across 5 continents, from Prague to New York City, from Buenos Aires to Sydney. On 27 Oct 2012, Singapore will be represented on the global zombie walks map.
What is a Zombie Walk?
According to Wikipedia, zombie walks are organized public gathering of people, dressed up in zombie costumes, who make their way around the city streets, in a somewhat orderly fashion. As well as walking in a zombie-like fashion along a pre-determined route, the walkers also affect strange sounding zombie “noises” and mannerisms.
If you are participating in the Singapore Zombie Walk, we would love to know! Since this is the first time such a walk is taking place in Singapore, the number of participants will be capped at 250. This is a free event, but pre-registration is necessary as event slots are assigned on a first come first serve basis.
